Day 1: Arrive Thimpu

Arrive Paro and transfer to Thimpu (65 kms / 2 hrs). Upon arrival check in at hotel, Later in the evening Visit Tashichhodzong (after 5 PM). Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Thimpu

This morning visit BBS Tower to enjoy an aerial view of Thimpu Valley, visit Mini Zoo, Anim Dratshang (Nunnery), National Library, paper factory and Memorial Chorten. Afternoon visit the School of Art and Craft, Zangthopelri Lhakang and Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Thimpu - Punakha

This morning proceed to Punakha (77 kms / 3 hrs), enroute drive past the spellbinding beauty of the Semothka Dzong & Dochula Pass, situated at an altitude of 10500 feet. Afternoon visit the Punakha Dzong. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Punakha - Paro

Today drive to Paro via Wangdipro-drang (140 kms / 5 hrs). Afternoon at leisure in Paro. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Paro

This morning visit Durugyel Dzong or the Fort of Drupka Victory. This is a historical site from the ramparts of which the Bhutanese rebelled against the Tibetan invaders time and again. Later proceed to Taktsang Monastery or 'Tiger's Nest' situated at 3000 feet above the valley floor. Afternoon visit Paro Dzong, the National Museum housed in an ancient watchtower, which has the finest collection of Tankha Paintings the world over. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Paro - Phuntsholling - Dooars

Transfer to Phuntsholling (180 kms / 5.5 hrs), which is the border town in Bhutan. From Phuntsholling proceed to Dooars (90 kms / 2 hrs). Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Dooars - Gangtok

Drive to Gangtok (250 kms / 6.5 hrs) the gateway to Sikkim, the last Shangrila. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Dooars - Gangtok

This morning proceed to Tashi View Point, which offers a spectacular view of the mountains, Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok. Later proceed on a sightseeing tour of Gangtok - visit Do Drul Chortan, Stupa, Institute of Tibetology, Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchay Monastery, Flower Show and Rumtek Monastery, which is the largest in Sikkim and is the main seat of the Karma Kagyu lineage. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Gangtok - Darjeeling

Drive to Darjeeling (114 kms / 3 - 4 hrs) Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Darjeeling

Early morning (0330 hrs) visit Tiger Hills to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Kanchanjunga mountains. On the return visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop. This afternoon visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Himalayan Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. At the end of the tour visit the Tibetan Handicraft Center and drive pass Darjeeling Tea Gardens. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Depart Darjeeling

Depart Darjeeling for Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station. (90 kms / 2.5 hrs).
